Both give you the same panel to deploy and operate, and run on your own infra. What changes is who operates: with Connect you self-manage; with Managed we operate it for you —with observability, VPN, autonomous AI and SLA—. And pricing is per instance, not per server.
Read as a ticket it looks 12x; measured per instance the jump is ~3x (from ~6 to ~17 USD). That 3x doesn't buy the same feature, pricier: it buys all of Connect's core + five layers we operate for you.

An “instance” is each app or database you deploy —we never charge per server or per user—. Steer isn't hosting: it runs on your own servers, so you keep full control of your data, with no lock-in and no per-machine fee. The panel is always hosted and maintained by us. Connect or Managed? Which is right for me?
If you want to self-manage cheaply, Connect. If you want us to run it all for you —VPN, observability, autonomous AI, multi-client and SLA—, Managed. How do I start with Connect?
From “Start with Connect” you write to us and we set you up with assisted onboarding: connect your server and deploy. No sales meetings.
What counts as an “instance”?
Each containerized service you deploy: an app, a database, an n8n, etc. The plan is defined by the total number of instances.
Who provides the servers?
You do, in both products: you bring your servers (or we provision them in your hosting account). We don't charge per server —you pay per managed instance—; what Steer hosts and operates is the panel and the automation.
Can I change plans or move from Connect to Managed?
Yes. Move up or down a band month to month, no lock-in, and graduate from Connect to Managed when your operation asks for it.
Is there an annual discount?
Yes: paying yearly, two months are free (~17%). Applies to Connect and Managed.
Do you charge per user (per-seat)?
No. Add the users you need at no per-seat cost; the plan is defined only by the number of instances.
What if I have more than 400 instances?
